Isofix Compatible with Isoflex® Latch
ISOFLEX latch connectors allow for installation to vehicles with ISOFIX low anchorages. ISOFIX installation is an alternative method to traditional seatbelt installation.

Advanced Side Impact Cushion Technology (SICT)
Advanced SICT is a deployable safety innovation with crumple zone technology. Located on the Headrest and Torso, the unique design combines advanced safety and freedom of space.

Rearward Facing Level Indicators
Visual level indicator designed to aid correct rearward installation angles. Full or partially visible, the level indicator offers you an optimal range during installation.

Protective Shell
The enclosed shell design provides enhanced shielding to ensure the child is contained within the protective elements of the child seat. A protective barrier between the child and the vehicle.

Ventilation Zones
Located in the rear interior and exterior of the seat, the zones offer improved airflow and increased comfort to your child in rearward facing.

Integrated Coloured Belt Paths
Clear, obvious coloured visual belt paths for easier-to-guide correct seat belt installation.

Improved Harness Adjuster
To assist in the prevention of child access, the harness adjuster button is now lower and inset.

ISOFIX requires the user to apply tension to 2 connectors + installation of top tether. Correct tensioning still requires additional force applied to the seat as well as multiple checks during installation.

The preferred position for rearward facing is in the centre seat of the vehicle. However, the majority of vehicles do not have ISOFIX anchorages in the centre seating area, therefore traditional seat belt installation should be used.

With CLICKTIGHT, Tensioning is easier, Installation is faster, no matter which position.

All child restraints in the Australian market are required to pass Australian Standards without the use of gated buckles. Gated buckles can however be used to obtain a tighter fit to the vehicle if the preferred installation method is via the car seat belt (i.e not Isofix). B-First ifix can be used with a gated buckle when installed with the vehicle seat belt.

No. We do not advocate the use of aftermarket accessories other than Britax branded accessories. Should you have any issues with vehicle seat belt length we recommend seeing a professional installer.

Yes. You must always use the Top Tether. Refer to instruction Manual for an easy step by step guide.

Every seat is different. The B-First ifix is designed to provide the most optimum safety performance with the feature set it provides.

If your vehicle has rear air vents in the back seat, the cool air can flow through B-Compaq ifix ventilation zones offering more comfort to your child in rearward facing.

The closed shell design provides enhanced shielding to ensure the child is contained within deeper side wings of the child seat. This creates an increased protective barrier between the child and the vehicle.

When transporting new born babies or younger children in rearward facing mode it’s important choose a seat angle that is optimised for your child’s needs. This range is specified by the AS/NZS 1754:2013 std. Too flat is not good in a frontal collision, too upright is not good for supporting your babies head and neck whilst transporting them.

The level indicator offers you an optimal range when installing the B-First seat to your car.
