The revolutionary CLICKTIGHT Installation System, you can install your child’s car Seat using the vehicle seat belt and get a safe, secure and easy installation, with fewer steps every time – in both rearward or forward-facing.
CLICKTIGHT is a unique patented design that uses a clever tensioning system and locking mechanism to both tension and lock the seat belt at the same time.
We have specifically designed the CLICKTIGHT release button to be a 2 step release, “twist and push”. Much like child proof bottle caps, the “ twist and push” action requires a combination of “co-ordination, dexterity and finger strength” that is above the usual range of a child.
No, the CLICKTIGHT design inherently “locks off” the vehicle seat belt when the frame is closed. However, some vehicle’s may be fitted with “low friction” seat belts. This can be difficult to tension / secure when installing any car seat OR can be more prevalent to loosening over time. If you encounter this issue we recommend you seek the advice of a professional fitter who may decide to use gated buckle to overcome these issues with low friction seatbelts.
Crumple Zone is a “crash” term. In a car it refers to the area of the car that crumples during an accident to help lower the crash forces during an impact. B-First’s Advanced SICT is designed to crumple and lower the crash forces that your child will feel in a side collision.
When transporting new born babies or younger children in rearward facing mode it’s important choose a seat angle that is optimised for your child’s needs. This range is specified by the AS/NZS 1754:2013 std. Too flat is not good in a frontal collision, too upright is not good for supporting your babies head and neck whilst transporting them.
The level indicator offers you an optimal range when installing the B-First seat to your car.
If your vehicle has rear air vents in the back seat, the cool air can flow through B-First Ventilation Zones offering more comfort to your child in rearward facing.
